Eileen Wegner, 66, of Watertown, South Dakota, died March 3, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lucan, Minnesota.
Visitation was held March 7 at Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Eileen Marie Wegner was born July 20, 1945 to Walter and Margaret (Bollhoefer) Wegner, Jr. in Tracy. At age three, the family moved on a farm south of Hanley Falls, where she attended school and graduated. Following her graduation she attended Mankato Commercial College and received a Secretarial degree. In 1964 she moved to Watertown, South Dakota and was employed at Trisco/Hubbard Feeds for 16 years. She had also worked at Scott Engineering. In 1988 Eileen was employed by the South Dakota Department of Revenue until present.
Eileen was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and was very active on the Altar Guild and Caring Committee Ministry. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, and visiting and sharing memories with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; her sister, and a very special long time friend, Jerry Cook.
Eileen is survived by her brother, James (Eileen Ann) Wegner of Granite Falls; one niece; one nephew; cousins; and many friends.
