  • On Sunday, April 15 the congregation of Clarkfield Lutheran Church is inviting area community members to partake in a worship and Stewart-based charitable project called, “Food for Kidz.”
The event is being put together by the CLC (Clarkfield Lutheran Church) Evangelism Board and is being sponsored by individual family contributions from the members of the church as well as local businesses and organizations.
“We've been blessed already with $1,500 in gifts from local businesses and organizations; that's HALF of the $3,000 needed to pay for the 20,000 meals that we will package and send to our local food shelf, and hungry kids and their families all over the world,” said Clarkfield Lutheran Pastor Chris Zuraff.
There will be a brief “Service of the World”?Sunday worship at 10:15 a.m. on April 15, afterward the congregation and participating area community members will move into the fellowship hall where they will pack the meals to be sent out in coordination with the charity work.
Individuals interested in finding out more can contact the church office at 320-669-4839, otherwise just show up for the brief service and ready to perform needed good works.
