Yellow Medicine County is having its 3rd annual Relay For Life Celebration Dinner (aka – Survivor Dinner). We will be holding two suppers for Yellow Medicine County. One will be held on Saturday, April 21 at Bootleggers Supper Club in Granite Falls and the other will be held on Saturday, April 14 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran church in Canby. Both events will start at 6:00 p.m.
The audience for this event typically consists of all cancer survivors in the community (county), including newly diagnosed patients, those in active treatment, long-term survivors, and their caregiver(s) as your guest(s).
Invitations will be sent out to those cancer survivors that are currently registered in our database. Any survivor who has not received an invitation is welcome to attend.
Please RSVP by April 9 to Rhonda Marcus at 320-564-6258 or Dee Dee Behnke at 507-828-7005. Please leave your name, phone number, how many will be attending, and your supper location.
Being celebrated is the American Cancer Society’s goal to “Imagine a world with more birthdays!” The hope is to provide attendees with an evening of fun, celebration, and camaraderie! A light meal and a short program will be provided. There will be a guest speaker to share their cancer story.
Individuals will be able to order a survivor T-shirt (for a donation of $10) to be picked up at Relay, purchase luminaries and learn about Relay For Life.
The Yellow Medicine County Relay For Life will be held on June 8-9 at the Clarkfield Football Field starting at 6:00 p.m.
Any questions about the “Celebration Dinner” or Relay For Life, can be directed to Marcus (Granite Falls) or Behnke (Canby) whose numbers are listed above.
