    Yellow Medicine East needed only three hits to rack-up 10 runs for their first win of the season in their conference opener against BOLD Tuesday night in Olivia.


    The Sting rounded the bases in the 10-4 victory, mostly through the courtesy of the 11 walks issued by BOLD starter Brea Grund.

    Yellow Medicine East needed only three hits to rack-up 10 runs for their first win of the season in their conference opener against BOLD Tuesday night in Olivia.
     
    The Sting rounded the bases in the 10-4 victory, mostly through the courtesy of the 11 walks issued by BOLD starter Brea Grund.
     
    Grund would pitch the entire game allowing three hits and 10 runs on 11 walks and three strike-outs.
     
    YME?starter Allie Trudel, meanwhile, controlled the Warriors and went the distance for the Sting to earn the win.
     
    Trudel was also the offensive leader for the Sting; delivering a 2-for-4 performance with an RBI.
     
    Trudel’s complete game included striking out six batters and allowing just two earned runs on six hits and no walks in seven innings.
     
    With one swing senior Courtney Hinz picked up three RBIs for YME to highlight a 1-for-4 performance. Shortstop Nena McCalla picked up the other hit for YME and was 1-for-2 on the day.
