West Central South
The Sting boys golf team fell further back in the West Central Conference South meet chase as conference favorites Montevideo and Benson went one, two Thursday at The Crossings in Montevideo while the Sting placed sixth.
Montevideo and Benson effectively made it a two team race for the conference title with the ThunderHawks winning the meet by a tiebreaker.
Overall, Benson still retains their hold on the WCC-South standings with 26 placing points. Montevideo sits in second place just a point behind the Braves with three conference meets remaining.
The Sting meanwhile placed six, twenty strokes ahead of last placed Lac qui Parle Valley.
Charles Blue led the Sting with a 41, while Jordan Zens and Mitch McCosh swung 44s and Spencer McCosh carded a 47.
