    The Yellow Medicine East girls' golf team finished fourth in the final West Central Conference golf meet of the season, held Monday at The Crossing in Montevideo.

    The Yellow Medicine East girls' golf team finished fourth in the final West Central Conference golf meet of the season, held Monday at The Crossing in Montevideo.
     
    The BOLD Warriors won the event with a team total of 179. Host Montevideo came in second with a score of 192, followed by Morris (202), YME (212), Benson (216) and Lac qui Parle Valley (221).
     
    BOLD's Chole Altmann had the low round of the day with a 40.
     
    For YME sophomore Erica Moritz and senior Claressa Thielen led the Sting, each posting a round of 52.
     
    In the final conference point standings, YME finished in a tie for fourth with Benson with 25 points. BOLD (49) took first place, with Montevideo (41) in second and Morris (29) in third.

    Sophomore Eric Moritz carded a round of 47 as the Yellow Medicine East Sting took fourth place at the West Central Conference South meet Thursday in Benson.
     
    Winning Thursday's meet was BOLD with a 180, which beat second-place Montevideo by 14 strokes. The Warriors' Chole Altmann took medalist honors with a 39.
    With one conference meet remaining, the Sting sit in fifth place with 21 points. BOLD leads the WCC with 42.
     
    Also swinging for the Sting, were Claressa Thielen, who carded a 49, Tianna Gardner who logged a 56 and Leah Jeseritz who came around with a 58.

    BOLD had three golfers place among the top five and won a West Central South Conference meet at Morris’ Pomme de Terre Golf Club on Tuesday.
     
    BOLD shot 183 to finish eight strokes ahead of second-place Montevideo, and Morris/Chokio-Alberta was third at 197.
     
    Yellow Medicine East placed sixth at the meet—one of their worst conference finishes of the year.
     
    As she has for most of the season, Erica Moritz led the Sting, this time with a 53. YME’s Tiana Gardner and Cassie Thielen, meanwhile, each hit 57s, while Leah Jeseritz notched a 65.
