The Kilowatts made a thrilling rally in the bottom of the ninth, but could not overcome an earlier ninth inning home run by Raymond’s Mike Jeseritz as the Rockets snuck away with a 7-6 victory Sunday night at Richter Field.
Raymond struck early and accumulated a 3-1 lead after six inning. In the seventh inning, with the score now 4-1, the Kilowatts began to mount their comeback scoring three runs to briefly tie the game.
Raymond, however, just kept adding runs. Two came in the eight, before Jeseritz put the game out of reach—over the left-field wall.
For the Kilowatts, Craig Listul hit a solo home run, and Tyler Kanten was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
Granite Falls, now 2-3 overall, hosts Sacred Heart on Friday.

    Granite Falls 9, Montevideo 3
Six runs in the first inning was all the cushion Granite Falls starter Dylan Lindstrom needed as he and the Kilowatts shut down Montevideo 9-3 Friday at Richter Field.
Granite Falls’ first four batters of the game all reached base, and four hits and a sacrifice fly brought them in to open up the early 6-0 lead.
Lindstrom would then lock it down; going six innings for the win while giving up just three hits, two runs (only one earned) and striking out five.
Phil Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double and Andrew Walters had three hits, a double and two RBIs for the Kilowatts.
