The Granite Falls Legion Post 69 team looked good at the Bird Island Tournament over the weekend with two wins and a championship berth

The championship game would be called on acount of rain, Sunday.

    G.F. 5, West St. Paul 2

Said coach Nick Richter of Post 69’s first game: "West St. Paul was a pretty good team.  It was our 2nd game, their 16th.  Aaron pitched a heck of a game, our defense played great behind him, and Aaron didn’t give them much of a chance. He threw strikes, we hit the ball well as a team, and just played a real nice game.”

    Batting:

    Brandon Grund:  3 – 4, 2B, Rbi

    Aaron Zieske:     2 – 4, 2B, Rbi

    Granite Falls 7, vs. New London-Spicer 4
