Granite Falls Legion Post 69 continues to roll and extended their undefeated streak to six games Monday with a 11-10 heart-stopper over Minneota at Richter Field.

Granite Falls had to fight late in the game to hold onto the win with Minneota loading the bases in their half of the seventh inning. With an 11-8 lead heading into the final inning, Granite Falls let two Minneota runs cross the plate to bring the score to 11-10. Elliot Carmany, on to save the game for Post 69, then walked a batter to load the bases with two outs. Yet, a shallow popup, back to the pitcher, ended the Minneota threat and extended Post 69’s unbeaten streak to 6-0.

Adam Koepke led Granite offensively with a 2-for-2 performance that included a gutsy triple in the fourth and three RBIs. Aaron Zieske knocked three singles in the game, with RBI hits coming in the first and fourth innings. Zieske also crossed the plate as the winning run in the sixth with the help of a Reed Raddatz sacrifice fly to left.

Post 69 will continue to march through their season Thursday against Cottonwood, in Cottonwood.
