• Rodeo Run 5K has biggest turnout ever

  • A total of 89 runners competed Saturday at the annual Western Fest Rodeo Run 5K, the biggest turnout ever for the event, according to event organizor Jim Ford.

    “This was our biggest turnout ever,”said Ford. “We had 89 runners finish the 5K race, plus there was a great turnout for the kids races.”

  • A total of 89 runners competed Saturday at the annual Western Fest Rodeo Run 5K, the biggest turnout ever for the event, according to event organizor Jim Ford.


    “This was our biggest turnout ever,”said Ford. “We had 89 runners finish the 5K race, plus there was a great turnout for the kids races.”


     


    Jacob Carroll, a member of YME’s state qualifying 4x800m team, and Tori Cowls, of Fargo, were the overall winners at Saturday’s 5K race.


     


    Carroll finished in 20 minutes, .08 seconds, placing first in the 16-18 age group. Cowls, who finished in 20:20, was first in the 23-29 age group.


     


    Willmar’s Cassandra Johnson was the top runner in the 16-18 age group, and three Granite Falls runners — Madison Jeseritz, Isaac Rillo, Carroll, Anna Vikander and Jodi Lalim won their age groups.
