    The Tigers had a trio of players notch 10-or-more kills to sweep the Sting. Sydney Engebretson had 12 kills, Paige Schieler 11 and MicKenley Nagel 10. The three were a combined 60-for-62 in attacks with Nagel going a perfect 15-for-15.

    The fourth-ranked (Class AA) Sauk Centre Mainstreeters moved to 17-0 on the season with a 25-12, 25-13, 25-12 West Central Conference win over Yellow Medicine East Monday in Granite Falls.
    Sauk Centre's Jena Klaphake had a stroke night for the Mainstreeters, going 17-for-17 serving with four aces, while also tallying 30 set assists. Ashley Kollman added 11 kills, eight digs and two ace blocks.
    The Sting (2-17 overall, 1-7 WCC) got seven kills from Makayla Dyrdahl in the loss, and Danie Roden tallied a team-high nine digs.

    Yellow Medicine East managed their first win since Sept. 6 with a victory against Ashby at the Hancock Invitational this past weekend.
    Bracketed by a pair of losses to Carlton and West Central the Sting got a two-set victory against Ashby 25-23, 28-26.
    Eighth-grader Makayla Dyrdahl led the Sting through the tournament hitting 42-of-57 for 25 kills.

    Chyanne Sand’s 20 kills and 11 blocks would not be enough as Bryanna Burg and Rachel Ampe each knocked down 11 kills and Paynesville topped Yellow Medicine East 25-17, 21-25, 25-16, 25-14.
    Sadie Hukriede paced the Bulldogs with 5 service aces along with 9 kills and 3 ace blocks.
    Paynesville (3-5, 4-13) overcame the offense of Chyanne Sand, who had 20 kills and 11 blocking aces for the Stings (1-6, 1-13).
