    Quad County 38, Montevideo 28
    Quad County won a war of attrition Thursday night against Montevideo; needing a pair of forfeits to dispatch the ThunderHawks 38-28 for a road victory.
    Montevideo’s Jordan Flinn captured a pin in the second period of his 195 pound match that gave Montevideo a 28-26 lead, but the ThunderHawks were forced to forfeit at 220 pounds and 285 pounds to give QC the dual victory.
    QC started out hot with Victor Rivera getting a decision at 106, Colten Specht nailing down a pin at 113 and Ethan Thein getting another decision. A pair of losses followed before QC snapped the streak at 138 with a major decision from Dylan Johnson. Monte then took three consecutive matches before Aaron Lalim came through with a pin at 170 and Hayden Johnson followed with one of his own at 182. Then came Flinn’s pin at 195 bringing the score to 28-26 in favor of the ThunderHawks before the two forfeits ended the match and swung the decision.
