• Postal Service to stop Saturday mail delivery to cut costs

  • WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service announced it will cease delivering mail on Saturdays but still will deliver packages six days a week in an effort to save about $2 billion annually, the struggling agency says.

  • WASHINGTON — In an announcement scheduled for later Wednesday, the U.S. Postal Service is expected to say a Saturday mail cutback would begin in August.
