  • Minnesota law requires each school district to provide for a mandatory health and developmental screening at no cost for children ages 3-4 or older, but who have not entered Kindergarten. This screening is required for all children before entering kindergarten. Early Childhood Screening will be offered at the Kilowatt Community Center in Granite Falls on the following dates:
    Thursday, March 14 from 8:15am- 11:45am
    Friday, March 15 from 8:15am- 11:45am
The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Screening in early childhood supports children’s readiness for kindergarten and promotes positive child health and developmental outcomes. The screening is not designed to substitute for regular health care from your physician or other health care provider.
If you didn’t receive a letter in the mail and would like to schedule an appointment for your child please call Cassie Suter, YME School Nurse at 320-564-4082 ext 163.
