The Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council is pleased to announce that it has recently provided grant funding to 21 arts organizations totaling $102,202.
The arts organizations were funded under the following SMAHC grant programs: Art Project Grants provide area organizations with up to $5,000 in matching funds to produce or present an art project. Arts Organization Development Grants provide up to $5,000 in matching funds to arts organizations to strengthen their capacity to provide quality arts activities. Arts Organization Equipment & Facilities Grants provide up to $15,000 in matching funds to arts organizations for equipment & facilities improvement.
SMAHC grants are made possible in part by appropriations from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State's general fund, and its arts and cultural heritage fund that was created by a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.

Friends of the Auditorium, Worthington, $5,000 for a community theatre production of Cinderella.
New London Music Festival, $4,500 for their 2013 summer music festival.
The Barn Theatre, Willmar, $5,000 for their 2013 summer season of performances.
Rhythm of the River, Jackson, $5,000 for their 7th annual music festival.
Friends of the Orchestra, Marshall, $5,000 for the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra Russian Festival Concert.
Marshall Area Fine Arts Council, $5,000 for the 2013-2014 Concert Series and $5,000 for their 2013-2014 Exhibits.
Calumet Players, Pipestone, $3,700 for their production of Tarzan: The Musical.
Willmar Area Arts Council, $4,775 for their Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! festival.
Minnesota Pottery Festival, Hutchinson, $4,900 for their 2013 festival.
Worthington Area Symphony Orchestra, $5,000 for their spring concert.
Prairie Dance Alliance, Marshall, $3,170 for their 2013 summer dance camp.
Prairie Winds Concert Band, Willmar, $1,500 for their 2013 concert season.
'52 Wing Restoration Committee, Appleton, $2,311 for their summer outdoor concert series.
Hutchinson Theatre Company, $4,690 for their production of 9 to 5: The Musical.
Rock County Fine Arts Association, Luverne, $1,000 for a Raku pottery workshop.
Litchfield Community Theatre, $5,000 for their production of Shrek: The Musical.
Granite Falls Area Community Theatre, $5,000 for their production of The Sound of Music.

Winsted Arts Council, $3,384 to purchase tables, chairs, and exhibit walls for their new location.
RiverSong Music Festival, Hutchinson, $15,000 to add a permanent roof to the Masonic West River Park stage, their performance site.
