Christopher Abbott, who plays Charlie on HBO's Girls, is leaving the show over creative differences with creator and star Lena Dunham, the New York Post's Page Six reports.
In the Season 2 finale of the show, which aired in March, Charlie appeared to be getting back together with his ex-girlfriend Marnie (Allison Williams), but when the cast returned to begin production on Season 3, Abbott and Dunham clashed over his character's story line, according to the report.
Abbott's agent, however, told the Post he's leaving the show to pursue other projects.
