The father of the family, Josh Hakken, is accused of kidnapping his two sons, of whom he and his wife lost custody, from their grandmother's house in Florida last week. Hakken and his wife, Sharyn, lost custody of the boys temporarily after police found narcotics and weapons hotel room where the couple was staying with the boys. Custody was permanently severed after Josh Hakken threatened the boys' foster parents with a gun and then fled when police were called.

An earthquake registering 6.1 on the Richter scale hit Iran earlier today, injuring hundreds and killing 32. The earthquake struck the city of Kaki, which is about 60 miles southeast of the city of Bushehr and the nation's first nuclear power plant. Bushehr's provincial governor said the power plant was not damaged, and that rescue helicopters had been sent to areas most affected by the quake. Iran has announced three days of mourning for the victims.
