The Mississippi man accused of sending ricin-laced letters to various government officials, including the president, has been released from federal custody today, CNN reports. Paul Kevin Curtis, an Elvis impersonator from Corinth, had been set to appear at a hearing scheduled for today, but the hearing was cancelled. Curtis' attorney stated that charges against Curtis were not dismissed, but that she believes her client was framed.
