The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) invites you to participate in an overview session on Thursday, June 6, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building to review the draft 20-year State Highway Investment Plan (MnSHIP), which guides MnDOT's priorities for investing in the 12,000-mile state highway network over the next 20 years. In the fall of 2012, we asked you to provide input as to how MnDOT should invest $18 billion into improving Minnesota's highways. Your feedback has been an important and essential input in the development of MnSHIP.
MnDOT will release the draft plan at the end of June. The meeting in Willmar is one of eight that will be held across the state in May and June of this year to preview and discuss the upcoming draft plan. Please view the invitation attached to this email for information on the upcoming meeting. If you are unable to attend the in-person meeting, please join MnDOT during one of two identical live webinars on June 4, 2013.
MnDOT will begin its public comment period on the draft plan in July 2013. The public is encouraged to review the draft during this time and submit comments. Feedback received during the public comment period will be considered for the final plan, due in August 2013.
