Fall in Amish country is a beautiful time of year. Holmes county in central Ohio is the largest  Amish Community in the U.S.

These family friendly things to do offer fun, interesting weekend trips for all ages.

Sugarcreek's Ohio Swiss Festival

September 27-28 – In it's 61st year, the Ohio Swiss Festival celebrates the heritage of the Swiss immigrants and fine cheesemakers that settled in the area. You'll see some unusual things (the steinstossen, yodeling, alphorns, polka bands and delicious apple fritters), as well as the usual things (midway rides, fried fair foods, pop music bands and The Grand Parade).

Millersburg Antique Festival

October 5 - 6 – Enjoy two days of arts, crafts, antique dealers, entertainment, food and the annual Millersburg Glass auction at the Antique Festival. The Grand Parade is on Sunday, so pack lawn chairs and plan to stay over to see antique cars, floats, bands and other fun entries.

Charm Days Festival

October 11-12 – Once just a fall celebration for the Amish population in nearby Charm, this small town festival has now become an attraction for visitors and locals alike. With events such as the Care and Share Fund auction, BBQ chicken, pie contest, wooly-worm derby and horse fun show, there's something interesting for everyone to see or do. Be sure to drive carefully - the narrow country roads are full of buggies, bikes, pedestrians, horseback rides and cars. Learn more

Fall Festival at The Farm at Walnut Creek

October 12 and 14 – Our neighbors at The Farm will celebrate their annual Fall Days over Columbus Day Weekend (Saturday and Monday). Activities are geared for kids, featuring a pumpkin slingshot, corn box straw maze and home-grown produce and homemade foods.
