To the Editor:
Whenever I awake and turn on the T.V., the only thing I hear and see is someone went crazy because of the government shut-down, or how the Democrats and Republicans are acting like children, they figure by shutting down the state parks and museums it’s going to hurt the Americans, but they lose money coming in.
I decided to go for a walk this morning and I went down 212. The truck drivers were still driving, the restaurants and the gas stations and the stores were open. The farmers are waiting for the corn and beans to dry, but the one thing I noticed the most, people are still moving forward but not Congress. The Americans are keeping their trucks moving, they’re still keeping open the stores, restaurants and gas stations. People are still going for walks, families are staying together. That’s what keeps everybody going when one person celebrates.
We all celebrate the Meander, that’s why I appreciate this town of Granite Falls. Keep moving forward – forget Congress.
