  • To the Editor:
The Wood Lake blood drive was held on October 10, the Red Cross staff collected 18 whole blood, and 7 double reds for a total of 32 pints. A simple act can change the lives of others. Thank you for your gift of life.
A heartfelt thank you to all who helped to achieve this goal; donors, callers, canteen workers, food donations and servers. Thanks to the Auxiliary for serving a delicious meal for the workers, and the St. John’s Lutheran Church for furnishing bars for our donors. All of your efforts were greatly appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who has donated blood - it is so important and it is definitely appreciated. We hope to see you at future blood drives. Echo’s drive will be December 17, 2-7 p.m. Wood Lake’s next drive will be May 1, 2014, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
