  •    Willard A Skjefte, 83, left this world Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
A Memorial Service was held on November 11, 2013 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel,
He was one of eight children, born May 2, 1930 to Rudolph and Laura (Gilbertson) Skjefte in Sacred Heart, on the family homestead. Will spent his childhood in Granite Falls and moved to the Twin Cities when he married Ramona, where together they raised 7 children. Will was an experienced welder by trade-fondly known as "Willie the Welder", a title he wore with pride. He was more than willing to share the many noteworthy projects that made use of his welding skills. Will was a consummate storyteller and joke teller. He rarely told a joke the same way twice. He
loved sharing his interest in family history through more stories and pictures. He will be missed.
Surviving Willard is his wife of 64 years, Ramona (Skrukrud) Skjefte, their children Lynne Skjefte (Lars
Peterson), Cheryl Skjefte, Debra Skjefte, Kim (Rick) Holt, Barbara (Greg) Rounds, Jon (Laura) Skjefte,
Carolyn (James) Rassier; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Galen (Bonnie) Skjefte and
sister Ruth Pederson; a multitude of nieces/nephews and cousins.
Preceding him were four sisters, one brother and grandson, Adam Sellheim.
Arrangements by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel,     763-783-1100.
