  •    My fondest memory of Thanksgiving, we would go to my aunt’s house for Thanksgiving. Every now and then I think about the family getting together and sitting down to eat. We kids would sit at our own table and the adults had their own tables. They would be sitting together and laughing.
After we ate, the men would gather in front of the TV watching the football games and we kids would go out sliding on the snow, if there was any. Then we would go in and eat pie later. This short story isn’t about eating. But I think it’s more about hanging onto the fondest memories of getting together with families. Being thankful. I remember my mom’s sister loved me – a lot of my older aunts didn’t know what to think of me but that’s the way people are, hang onto the good memories and keep moving forward even if people don’t understand you.
Happy Thanksgiving from the May family.
