    The Yellow Medince East girls basketball team started off their season with a win over the Benson Braves, ending the night with a 33 point lead.
    Chyanne Sand was an all-around team player, nabbing seven rebounds, earning seven steals, six assists and leading the team with 14 points. Kelly Anderson followed with 13 points and Allie Zieske had seven rebounds and 11 points.
    Taylor Laumeyer and Hannah Ricard led the Braves with 13 and 12 points respectively, but no one else on Benson’s side really showed up.
    The girls will travel to Lakeview on Monday, and won’t have their first home game until the following week on the 17th against BOLD.
