  •     Delores Wilkening, 82 of Granite Falls passed away Wed., December 18, 2013 at the Granite Falls Manor.             Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls.  
        Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
        Delores Annalee (Meyer) Wilkening was born August 25, 1931 in Ortonville, the daughter of Dean and Ella (Shelstad) Meyer.  She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran in Correll.  Delores graduated from Appleton High School.
        On October 24, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton, Delores was united in marriage to Donald Leo Wilkening.  Their union was blessed with three children.  Delores was a homemaker and childcare provider and an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church working on the women’s activities, circles, singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school.  She enjoyed playing piano, reading, baking cookies and breads, vegetable and flower gardening, bird watching, homemaker's group and sewing.  The light of Delores' life was when the grandchildren and great grandchildren would come for visits!  She truly enjoyed them and took time to play with each one of them!  Delores and Don attended countless Christmas programs, concerts, recitals and sporting events. 
        Delores is survived by her daughter: Anita Wilkening of Seattle, WA; sons:  Gregory (Pamela) Wilkening of Granite Falls and Bradley (Shelly) Wilkening of Becker; five grandchildren:  Kristina (Jesse) Eisenbacher, John Wilkening, Zachary Wilkening all of Granite Falls, Josie Wilkening and Jena Wilkening both of Becker; three great-grandchildren:  Ayva Jo Wilkening of Hutchinson, Braden Eisenbacher and Emma Lee Eisenbacher both of Granite Falls; brother  Donald  (Helen) Meyer, sister Louise Olson, and brother-in-law Derald Wilkening all of Appleton, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
        She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wilkening, her parents Dean and Ella Meyer, her in-laws Leo and Mary Wilkening and brothers-in-law: Leroy (Darlene) Wilkening and Roger Olson. 
        Arrangements are with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Granite Falls.
