The Montevideo Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are continuing to investigate the death of a 64-year-old Montevideo man who was found dead in his apartment on Canyon Avenue in Montevideo on Dec. 23.
The body of Thomas Dickson was found by a friend of his at 10:13 p.m. Dickson’s body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. Last Wednesday, Christimas Day, officers from the BCA were in Dickson’s apartment gathering possible evidence in the case.
Montevideo Chief of Police Adam Christopher said Dickson’s death was officially ruled a homicide on Saturday, although the cause of death has not yet been released.
Christopher said Dickson worked at Chandler Industries in Montevideo and it is believed he has lived in Montevideo since 2011. No relatives of Dickson have been located as of Monday.
No arrests have been made in the case. Christopher said police do not believe there is any risk to the public.
