  •     Ann C. Babb passed away on January 3, 2014 at the Chippewa Co.-Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo.
        Ann was born December 11, 1918 at Ames, Iowa to parents Eargen “Ole” and Katherine “Kate” Weber Stenson. She was baptized on December 20, 1918 and confirmed May 5, 1930 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa.  She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for several years.  
        Ann married Charles “Mac” Babb on May 30, 1935 at the Lutheran Church in Sisseton, South Dakota.  They had four children:  Shirley, Sandra, Gene and Terry. Ann enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and camping, loved to cook and bake with always room at the table for everyone.
        Ann is survived by her daughter Shirley (Richard) Heald of Clarkfield, and sons Gene Babb of Omaha, Nebraska and Terry (Paula) Babb of Athens, Texas.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
        She was preceded in death by her husband “Mac” (Charles) Babb, her parents Ole and Kate Stenson, her daughter Sandra, sister Katherine “Kay” Howell; grandsons: Glenn Heald, Micheal Padgett, great grandson Rocky Padgett and brother-in-law Jess L. Howell.
        Ann donated her body to the Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of Minnesota Medical Schools in Minneapolis. Ann’s remains will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
        Ann lived at Valhalla Apartments Assisted Living in Clarkfield for about 3 1/2 years and moved to the Clarkfield Care Center on November 20, 2013.
