    Girls Basketball

    MACCRAY 55, YME 46
    The girls basketball team ended their rollercoaster of a week at a low point, losing to MACCRAY 55-46. It was the third win of the season for the Wolverines who have already suffered 11 losses so far.
    Although only behind by two points at the half, YME slipped behind in the second half to end the night at a nine point deficit.
    The Sting had an unusually low completion rate, making only 19 of 76 attempts, as well as five of 17 3-point attempts.
    Hailey Enstad led the team in scoring with 19 points, five of which came from 3-point shots, also earning a double-double with 11 rebounds. Chyanne Sand also double-doubled with 12 points and 13 rebounds, as well as adding four steals.
    Next up is the RCW Jaguars on Thursday, sitting at a 2-7 record, coming off a Monday night win against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart.

    BOLD 74, YME 60
    The Sting faced BOLD for the second time this season, this time in Bird Island, unfortunately for the Sting with no difference in results.
    The last meeting at home was just a six point difference in the Warrior’s favor. This time around the Sting didn’t lead at halftime, instead going into the second half already at a ten point deficit, although only ending the night down 14 overall.
    Tyler Lothert of BOLD boasted a 25 point game, more impressively 24 of which came from 3-pointers alone. He was assisted by Nick Kubesh with 18 points and five steals.
