A last second layup gave Yellow Medicine East the win in the play-in game of the Section 3AA tournament.
Grant Lalim scored only two points, but they were arguably the most crucial points this season as the final buzzer rang and the Sting were propelled into the post-season.
Tyson Velde led the Sting’s fourth victory of the season with 20 points and 16 rebounds, earning a coveted double-double.
Velde followed by Chase Richter with 15 points, Blake Lindstrom with 14 and Logan DeBlieck with 12.
The Sting will play the No. 1 seeded Redwood Valley on Saturday in Redwood Falls.
