A 30-year-old Granite Falls woman, Stephanie LaBatte, has been identified by the Granite Falls Police Department as the woman who died at Project Turnabout over the weekend.
According to a press release from the Granite Falls Police, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call about an unresponsive individual at Project Turnabout on Sunday at 5:04 a.m.
The Granite Falls Police and Ambulance was dispatched to Turnabout where LaBatte was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is still under investigation but police have indicated that no foul play is suspected. The Yellow Medicine County Coroner also assisted.
According to Project Turn-about Director Mike Schiks, the addiction recovery center does not comment on clientele under most any circumstances in respect of confidentiality to those who utilize the facility’s services.
