Snow and increased wind speeds expected

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassan has issued a blizzard warning for Southwestern Minnesota, including Yellow Medicine and Chippewa County.
Starting at 7:00 p.m. Monday night until 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, rain will turn to snow with increased wind speeds of 25 to 35 miles per hour and frequent gusts as high as 50 miles per hour. Visibility may be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less.
Spring enthusiasts will be happy to know that accumulation predictions have dropped from an original projection of eight to ten inches to three inches, but precautions are still still being advised for traveling.
