The Granite Falls Lutheran Church will host a benefit dinner and silent auction on behalf of local residents Tom and Marci Doyle and their daughter, Addison, on Sunday May 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
On May 2 Addison will be two-years-old. Since her birth she has been living with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida, which is the most severe form of the disease when spinal cord and nerves come through the open part of the spine, and can cause nerve damage and other disabilities.
Starting at one day old when she had to have back closure surgery, Addison has gone through a number of surgeries and therapies that would be daunting for any adult, much less a two-year-old girl.
“Addison has been through so much in her life but she is the happiest little girl ever!” said Marci.
All are welcome to attend the event which will take place in the basemeent of Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Winners of the silent auction will be announced at 1:00 p.m. and individuals must be present to win.
