  • Baseball: Sting drop two in doubleheader

  • Both games in the YME/Benson doubleheader fell to the favor of the Braves, beating the Sting 6-4 and 13-2 in the final
    The first game was a tighter effort, with the Sting getting more hits than the Braves, and RBIs from Blake Lindstrom, Joe Sannerud and Jordan Odegard.
    Unfortunately for the Sting, the Braves ran away with the lead in the second game, getting at least two runs in each inning, including three stolen bases from Adam Lindahl.

    A few hits here and there and the Tigers quickly escalated the baseball game to their favor, as Morris/CA beat YME by 13 runs at the Friday afternoon game hosted in Montevideo.
    The Tigers scored at least two runs in five of the seven innings, collecting 14 runs on 12 hits.
    Dylan Johnson had the sole RBI for the Sting, advanced Austin Vikander after his third inning triple.
    Gage Backman was 3-for-4 with six RBIs for the Tigers, and Seth Staples had three RBIs. Bryce Jergenson and Noah Grove each had three runs.
    Page 2 of 2 - Seth Staples pitched the full game for the Tigers, striking out nine and giving up only two walks.
