I am grateful of the popcorn stand being open. I noticed the popcorn and root beer go hand in hand. The rich buttery taste and the 1919 Root Beer is almost like comfort food, sitting down by the dam and watching the pelicans fish and munching on hot buttered popcorn and drinking root beer, you will notice it brings a person back to the drive-in theaters or to the county fair. After working awhile there’s nothing more relaxing even on a hot day, although it looks like July is not going to be a repeat of July 4, 1988.
