A rural Granite Falls man died as a result of injuries received in a one car roll-over accident in Stony run township on July 1.
Harold Landmark, 90, of Granite Falls was traveling north on 490th St. (Yellow Medicine County Road 7) and 310th Ave. (Yellow Medicine County Road 5) near the Stony Run town hall, when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to skid into the road ditch embankment of east bound 310th Ave. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to the Granite Falls Hospital for injuries and later taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he died on Monday, July 7. The accident, which was reported to the Yellow Medicine county sheriff’s Department at 12:05 p.m. that day remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
Along with the YMCA Sheriff’s Office the Minnesota Patrol, Granite Falls Ambulance and Granite Falls Fire Department responded to the accident scene.
Funeral services will be held om Monday, July 14 at 1 p.m. at Community Bible Church in Montevideo.
