“After the doldrums of the winter everybody’s excited to have live flowers again.”
You said it, Ruby Hieb.
The American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days sales are underway. One of the Cancer Society's biggest and most popular fund raisers, the Daffodil Days campaign helps to fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide up-to-date cancer information and education, advocate for public policies that benefit the community, and provide services that improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Once again a dedicated crew of Daffodil Days committee members are leading the fundraising, all that’s asked of the community is that they give themselves the gift of a daffodil, or even better, gift it for someone else.
Individuals can order their daffodils now through February 8. The fresh flowers will be delivered on March 15.
2010 Daffodil Days giving opportunities are as follows:
•Bunch of Daffodils $10
•Bunch and a Vase $15
•Dainty Daffodils $15
(a very popular seller)
•Gift of Hope $25
•Bear and a Bunch $25
•Bear Hugs for Hope $25
•Sunshine Bouquet $75
For more information or to order, you may callCindy Baker, sales coordinator, at 320-564-3131; or Ruby Hieb, coordinator, at 320-564-4339.
Support of the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days helps give strength and hope to the millions of Americans facing cancer.
