All women in recovery, interested in recovery, and others who could benefit by attending are welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly Women’s Recovery Luncheon, which will be held in the gymnasium of Project Turnabout, 660 18th Street, Granite Falls on Saturday, January 23, 2010, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Saturday’s speaker, Cynthia J., will speak on the topic of “Gratitude Should Go Forward.”
Says Cynthia:
"In other words, if you carry the message to still others, you will be making the best possible repayment for the help given to you."
“My name is Cynthia J. and I am an alcoholic. I used alcohol for many years, even when it ceased to be my friend. Today, I am a grateful recovering alcoholic on a journey of joy in a life I never dreamed could belong to me. Many people have freely shared with me their experience, strength, and most importantly for me, hope. Our Higher Power works through the people who walk among us. I wish to carry the same message given to me. There is help; there is hope for all of us.”
The monthly luncheons, hosted by Project Turnabout, are provided free-of-charge to all attending and are designed to support and enhance the recovery of women in the area. For planning purposes, please confirm your intentions to attend by calling 1-800-862-1453 prior to 4:00p.m. January 21, 2010. All guests are asked to enter through the back entrance of Project Turnabout.
