The journey of the Neighbors United Food Shelf continued this week with a meeting on Monday that attracted 17 folks who are interested in the helping re-form and revitalize the organization into a pro-active presence.

Both the girls and boys golf teams had a chance to golf competitively on their home course. YME hosted a meet at the Granite Run Golf Course last Thursday on April 23.

The girls softball team has been showing signs of life as the season heats up. Facing off against the Redwood Valley Cardinals, the Sting girls pulled off 13 runs.

The schedule is coming together for the 2015 Yellow Medicine County Fair. Board members met on April 16 and worked out many remaining details of the lineup of entertainment for the fair.

The Clarkfield City Council splashed out a variety of ideas about warm weather duties last week. On April 21, the council discussed maintenance duties to get the community pool up and going while preparing to get Clarkfield ready for spring.

The Minnesota River Valley National Scenic Byway Alliance will again be holding a Byway-Long Garage $ale on May 1-2.. The Scenic Byway is a destination in itself. Cruise up and down the 287-mile long Minnesota River to shop at the garage sales.

Eight occupants, including six juveniles, escaped serious injury when the 1997 Ford F-150 pick-up they were in lost control and overturned on the Dike Road just east of the BNSF Railroad tracks early Sunday morning.
