CACS Concert of Fantasy and Imagination More than 70 students and preschoolers rocked the Clarkfield charter school gymnasium last Thursday (May 18) with songs of fantasy and imagination. A packed house encouraged the performers with generous, lively applause. Several songs included extensive choreography.

The music was directed by interim music teacher Doug Clevenger and accompanied by CACS Director Kathy Koetter. Second-grader Grant Linscheid favored the audience with a piano solo. Over a dozen students had solo lines in the program. The entire student body ended the concert with a full dance routine to “The Gummy Bear Song.” The event was coordinated by the Clarkfield Area Charter School staff and volunteers. All students wore brand new brightly-colored T-shirts, courtesy of generous donations from the Clarkfield Lions Club, the CACS Parent-Teacher Community Group, and other individuals.

The audience was treated with free popcorn from the parent-teacher group. Following the concert, the fifth and sixth grade class taught by Mrs. Nikki Linscheid presented a science fair with exhibits from each of the students. Prior to the concert, the students took their show on the road with a brief concert “tour.” They performed for residents at Valhalla and the Clarkfield Care Center on Tuesday (May 16).
