Thursday, July 6 The Legion built some positive momentum during their Thursday game against Kerkhoven. They took an early lead, and were able to able to shut down the Kerkhoven team without allowing too much scoring. Jordan Odegard pitched for the Legion. He gave up four hits, two runs, and zero errors.

Nick Richter said, “We played a good game tonight. Jordan pitched a gem! He was hitting spots, changing speeds, and kept the ball down. We played well defensively, and had some timely hits. We needed a win, and it was a good team effort.” Monday, July 10th The magic must have worn off during the weekend.

In their Monday game, the Legion struggle to get hits, and couldn’t generate any offense to score more than a single run.

Nick Richter said, “Tyson pitched well for us, kept us right there for 5 innings. Our bats were cold, and could not get anything going offensively. Hoping this is all out of our system, we start playoffs on Thursday. We are the #3 seed in our sub district, and we are playing in Fairfax at 7 pm on Thursday night. We are hosting our sub district playoffs this weekend in Granite Falls on both Saturday and Sunday. We will have 3 games on Saturday at 10am – 12:30 pm – 3:00pm. We will have 1, maybe 2 games on Sunday starting at 12 pm.”
