Around 100 friends & family participated in “A Ride to Remember” put together by Jon Grengs, in honor of four friends & avid riders from Clarkfield, who have since passed away. Viesmann, Edmunds, Johnson & Westre. Honorary riders were Paul Edmunds, Mickey Viesmann Jr, & Trevor Johnson. Paul, Mickey & Trevor proudly road their loved ones polished up Harley Davidsons. The 100 mile ride boasted perfect weather, laughter & of course, lots of reminiscing. Riders departed from Clarkfield around 1p.m. Stops were in Milan at Randall’s Resort, Marietta at the Marietta Legion, Lake Corcoran at State Line & lastly, The Green Door. T-shirts were made in honor of Travis Johnson, who passed away in January 2017. After the ride, the fun continued at North Park, where friends & family gathered for a delicious meal put on by Trevor Johnson. Music was provided by the very talented “Ignition X” a local group of young musicians. The weekend was also the annual Clarkfield Cardinal Days celebration, so there were tons of activities in walking distance including a car show, featuring an “Orange County Chopper”, bouncy houses, swimming, a craft fair, delicious food & live music provided by the Honey Badgers. Riders took advantage of camping available at North Park. Plans are in motion for a 2nd Annual run for late July, 2018.
