Front man “Sweet Papa” Dave Hart has been performing his music nationally for over 30 years. His albums have received worldwide recognition and he has shared the stage with blues legends, Big Walter Smith and Jimmy Dawkins. He’ll be lighting up the stage with his own brand of Blues mixed with rock, folk, and even a little country.
The entire show was put together by the southwest Minnesota based company, Midwest Mobile Entertainment/MME Promotions. MME Owner Steve Anywaush: “I talked with so many people in the area that were ready for something a little different to come to Southwest Minnesota. Typically, you only see the run-of-the-mill variety of Country and Rock bands performing at festivals and town celebrations in our area. It’s always the same thing, the same bands. I wanted to bring something different, something out of the comfort zone. I started looking at different genres of music and what might appeal to a wider demographic. The first thing that came to mind: The Blues. I’m a huge fan of a lot of different genres of music, but the blues is something I think a lot of folks enjoy and can often relate to. I talked with my partners and the folks at American Legion Post #69 here in Granite Falls and we decided to give it a go. We have an excellent spot right by the dam, throw in some food trucks, and we got ourselves a blues festival. Right here in Granite Falls. I love this town and my company is going to keep working to bring a wide variety of events here as often as possible. We have a lot of cool stuff on the horizon, stay tuned”..
