Granite Falls Health in partnership with the Yellow Medicine East School District would like to give thanks and recognition to the Granite Falls Lions for their generous donation of $700 to help make possible ImPACT concussion screening for YME athletes. This will be the first year the screening will be offered to YME athletes as a supplemental tool in concussion safety and management. This school year athletes in grades 7-12 will complete the screening to provide a baseline in the case they sustain a concussion during the season. If a concussion has occurred a post-test will be completed and compared to the baseline screen to assist with a recovery plan for the athlete. After this initial year, the screen will be completed on 7th and 10th graders. Thank you to the Granite Falls Lions on their continued commitment to our community and youth!
