On Tuesday night, Granite Falls residents came to the YME auditorium to enjoy the fall YME band concert. The Junior High Band kicked things off with the dynamic Newcastle Overture. Other songs included Meet the Masters, and Ghosts in the Graveyard, based on the children’s game.
The High School band started their set with the Cluster Fluster Buster March, which had a deliberate off-kilter sound and special effects done by instruments. They also played Echoes of Egypt, and Elegy for the U.S.S. Arizona, written as a tribute to soldiers lost in Pearl Harbor.
