Freshmen Luke Kluver qualified for the 9th Grade State Tournament which took place at Champlin Park High School this past weekend. Kluver, just a freshmen, qualified when he took second place in a tough 12 man weight bracket in Tracy 2 weeks ago. Coach Tongen reported, “Kluver has been progressing each day and really has been a hard worker in the wrestling room since day one. He has the mindset that a wrestler needs. He is the type of kid who wants to be the tougher guy every time he steps on the mat.” Kluver ran into some very tough competition at the state tournament, losing both of his matches and being eliminated early Saturday morning. Kluver will look to continue his recent success when he tries to qualify for the High School State Tournament in a few weeks.
