The Granite Falls City Council had an abbreviated meeting Monday night due to inclement weather.
Cathy Anderson approached the council to request a preliminary report for adding a utility installation project to an unbuilt street called Barber Circle, near the cul de sac Daniel Drive. There has been interest in building there. This report will explore potential costs and assess if the work could be done in stages. This actually will update a report from 10 years ago when this was first considered. The report will be presented at the March 19th meeting.

The council approved purchase of adding the city logo to the council chambers.
The council voted to approve the Memorial Park Board’s recommendation to increase the tent camping fee from $7 to $10, and the RV fee from $9 to $12.
The council authorized accepting a FEMA grant to assist firefighters with purchasing equipment. The city was required to match $4,000 for the $83K grant, saving the city substantial money.
The council approved an MNDoT project to replace the overpass bridge by Jake’s Pizza.
