Bird Island

The Kilowatts faced Bird Island in a Sunday night ballgame. Bird Island scored a run in the 2nd and two in the third. The Kilowatts kept their heads in the game. In the 8th inning, Eric Gass took over pitching, and put a leak in the Bird Island defense, allowing the Kilowatts to score three runs. Bird Island let loose in the 9th inning, scoring six additional runs, bringing the score up 3-11. The Kilowatts managed one more run in the bottom of the 9th, not enough to overcome the lead built up over the game. Jordan Odegard lead the Kilowatts with three hits, one run, and one run batted in. He also closed out the game pitching, allowing one run, one hit, one walk, and one error. Cam Vien was the opening pitcher for the Kilowatts. He allowed five runs, six hits, three errors, and struck out eleven. Zac Envoldson was the relief pitcher. He allowed five runs, five errors, one hit, five walks, and struck out five. Jordan Odegard, Brandon Schmidt, Cam Vien, and Austin Friese scored the four runs for the Kilowatts.

Spicer

The Kilowatts had a game against Spicer Friday night. Jordan Odegard got the team rolling with a run in the bottom of the 1st inning. Spicer exploded in the top of the 3rd, scoring six runs. They racked up an additional five across the next few innings. The Kilowatts couldn’t muster any more offense, losing the game 1-11.
