Happy Fall everyone!
What a crazy September it has been. Renovations on our new building are coming together and we’re hoping to be up and running again by the middle of October! We will be located at 676 Prentice Street where the golf simulator was previously housed. The new building will feature automated doors that will be open to the public during extended hours. We are extremely excited for this new addition and hope that it will encourage our tourists to stop in and pick up brochures, etc. We will also have a hydration station in which walkers, bikers, runners, kayakers, etc. will be encouraged to stop in and fill up their water bottles. This new and improved Chamber office will be such a great addition to our downtown and we are so excited for you all to see it. Stay tuned on a date for our open house.
Last week I hosted and attended our annual Southwest Minnesota Tourism Association meeting at Prairie’s Edge Casino. People from all around the Southwest area of Minnesota attended this meeting where we discussed the importance of marketing in our small communities and how we can bring more folks to our areas. It was a great opportunity to host such a wonderful group of people and for them to tour our beautiful city!
I will be on vacation starting September 26th and returning on October 8th; if you need anything from me while I am gone, please do not hesitate to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will reply as time allows. Have a wonderful week!
