The Living at Home/ Block Nurse Program delivered Friendship Roses to the community on Monday. The deliveries came after a flurry of assembling the flowers in a nice wrapping. Fortunately, the weather has stayed above freezing, which helps the flowers fare much better. As all Minnesotans know, there is such a thing as too much refrigeration. The board members along with a group of volunteers processed about 900 roses this year. The number is a little lower than past years, but that won’t hamper the program’s mission, which is to help keep the elderly living in their homes for as long as possible.
